Position: Health & Safety Coordinator [RW-15128]

A leading building materials and industrial manufacturing organization is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) professional to support multiple operational sites across a designated region, centrally based in the Colorado Springs, CO area. This person will be tasked with partnering closely with leaders and employees to strengthen safety performance, reduce workplace risk, and promote a culture focused on achieving zero incidents and occupational illnesses.

The position offers an opportunity to influence safety strategy, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and provide subject matter expertise in a complex industrial environment. The ideal candidate will enjoy working collaboratively with site leadership while serving as a trusted advisor and safety champion.

The Role
  • Provide day-to-day health and safety guidance to site leadership, supervisors, and employees while supporting implementation of the organization's Health & Safety Management System.
  • Partner with operational leaders to identify risks, prioritize safety initiatives, drive behavioral improvements, and support long-term safety strategies.
  • Analyze safety metrics, maintain performance dashboards, track key performance indicators, and help communicate trends and corrective actions.
  • Support incident investigations, safety audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance efforts related to federal, state, and local safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve workplace conditions, industrial hygiene programs, exposure monitoring, and the sharing of safety best practices across sites.
The Candidate
  • Associate degree required, preferably in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in health and safety within an industrial, manufacturing, construction materials, mining, or similar operational environment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT regulations, safety management systems, SOP development, and continuous improvement frameworks is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence leaders and provide objective safety guidance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and comfortable traveling up to 25%; valid driver's license and commitment to safety compliance required.
