Adecco is currently hiring a Quality Control Lead for a plastic injection molding manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for leading quality inspection activities during the night shift, ensuring products meet customer specifications and company quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing quality control, strong leadership skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related issues in a fast-paced production environment.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday
Hours: 4:30pm-3:00am
Pay: $18-$19/HR
Key Responsibilities Quality Inspection & Assurance- Perform and oversee incoming, in-process, first article, and final product inspections.
- Ensure products meet quality standards, customer specifications, and production requirements.
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Review production setups and verify first-piece approvals prior to production runs.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to identify and address quality concerns.
- Provide direction and support to Quality Inspectors and production personnel during the night shift.
- Assign daily inspection tasks and prioritize workload to support production schedules.
- Train and mentor team members on quality procedures, inspection methods, and documentation requirements.
- Serve as the primary quality resource for night-shift operations.
- Investigate quality issues and assist in identifying root causes.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Management to implement corrective actions.
- Monitor defect trends and help drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Escalate significant quality concerns when necessary to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, quality reports, non-conformance documentation, and production data.
- Ensure proper identification, segregation, and disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits as needed.
- Follow company quality systems and manufacturing procedures.
- Promote a safe work environment by following all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready work areas.
- Support 5S and continuous improvement efforts throughout the facility.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
- Experience using precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in plastic injection molding manufacturing.
- Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) and quality inspection methodologies.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other quality management systems.
- Experience with PPAP, corrective actions, and root cause analysis techniques.
- Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Quality, or Engineering.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Strong visual acuity and attention to detail for inspection activities.
Pay Details: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour
