Meet The Team

As a Production Chemist 1 at the Dexcom Mesa facility, you will be responsible for analytical testing of various solutions used throughout the manufacturing of the Dexcom continuous glucose monitor. Lead by senior lab members, you may collaborate with research and development scientists, quality, and process development engineers to develop and improve test methods and maintain cGMP compliance. Your role may also involve IQ/OQ/PQ processes for new instruments added to the analytical lab.

Where You Come In
  • You will perform chemical analysis of samples following USP standard methods and internally developed methods, including HPLC/GC, titration, viscosity, UV‑Vis, and YSI Biochemical Analyzer.
  • You will perform data analysis on results, statistical analysis on data, and secondary data review when required.
  • Ensure samples are processed in a timely and efficient manner and provide regular reports on the status of sample analysis.
  • Assist in method development, method validation, or method improvement as needed.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety protocols and 6S practices.
  • Maintain accurate records for all laboratory activities, including test results, deviations, and reports.
  • Support investigations of deviations or results that are out‑of‑specification.
  • Maintain analytical instruments and perform minor routine maintenance on instruments as required.
What Makes You Successful
  • Background in Chemistry or another laboratory‑based science degree.
  • Non‑course work experience in a laboratory.
  • Experience in basic laboratory skills such as titration, dilution, and solution preparation.
  • Bonus:
    Non‑course work experience with instrumental analysis (HPLC/GC/UV‑Vis).
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Experience and Education Requirements
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 0–2 years related experience.
