Bakery Clerk – El Super #53 – Mesa, AZ

$16.50 per hour

• Provide excellent customer service in the bakery department
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and special orders
• Clean shelving, display cases, and self‑serve displays
• Work with the baker to determine items to be baked or decorated
• Help keep the department clean by hosing down floors and maintaining overall appearance
• Follow all safety procedures and food handling regulations

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and memos
• Clear written communication skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills in one‑on‑one and small group interactions with customers and coworkers
• Common‑sense application of written or oral instructions
• Physical capability to lift and move up to 60 pounds, stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods (regularly lift up to 25 lb, frequently up to 45 lb, occasionally up to 60 lb)
• FC Food Handler Card or equivalent certification (required)

• Basic PC/Outlook proficiency
