We are seeking a motivated, goal-oriented individual with a "hunter" mentality and an entrepreneurial spirit to join our growing commercial lines team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a new producer to learn the intricacies of commercial insurance, prospect for new clients within our local region, and develop into a trusted advisor. You will be responsible for identifying prospects, developing tailored insurance programs, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the sales and renewal process.
Key Responsibilities- Prospecting & Lead Generation:
Identify and develop new commercial insurance prospects through a variety of methods, including cold calling, networking events, referrals, and community engagement. - Client Consultation:
Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand clients' unique loss exposures and risk management requirements. - Solution Development:
Design and present comprehensive insurance proposals and recommendations to prospective and existing clients, explaining policy provisions, coverages, and potential gaps. - Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong business-to-business relationships with insureds, ensuring high client retention rates through superior service and annual coverage reviews. - Sales Cycle Management:
Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to closing deals and coordinating with our account management team for seamless onboarding. - Professional Development:
Actively participate in sales meetings, pursue ongoing training, and obtain/maintain all required state licenses and continuing education credits. - CRM Utilization:
Systematically use our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track sales processes, client interactions, and project accurate revenue forecasts.
- Licensing:
Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid state-issued Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance Producer license. (We can guide the right candidate through the licensing process). - Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree is preferred. - Skills:
Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential. - Attributes: A self-starter with a strong work ethic, drive to achieve sales goals, resilience to overcome setbacks, and a high level of integrity.
- Local Knowledge: A strong understanding of the local business landscape and existing professional networks is a significant advantage.
