Associate Global Security Watch Officer – Mesa, AZ

We’re seeking an innovative, enthusiastic, security‑minded professional to join our Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) team. Candidates from other disciplines with a geopolitical understanding and strong writing and social media analysis skills will also be considered.

Position Responsibilities
  • Monitors worldwide events including natural disasters, political instability, terrorism, and crime
  • Identifies events that could impact Boeing’s personnel, assets, and operations
  • Drafts and reviews concise notifications for distribution to decision‑makers and leaders
  • Collaborates with a cross‑functional team of global security professionals supporting GSOC 24/7/365 operations
  • Facilitates Boeing’s crisis management response
  • Assists with event escalation and emergency communications to site, regional, and enterprise‑level leadership
  • Conducts detailed verbal situation briefings to Vice‑President level executives
  • Implements and supports GSOC operating procedures and best practices to drive business goals
  • Participates in training and exercises to ensure GSOC team proficiency and compliance with SOPs
  • Identifies gaps and conducts critical assessments of best practices in dynamic environments in accordance with Boeing policies
  • Manages individual and group projects in support of strategic initiatives
Basic Qualifications (Required)
  • 1+ year(s) of experience, education, or equivalent in geopolitical instability, political violence, terrorism, travel safety and security, issue‑based activism, disaster response, insider threat, counterintelligence, or physical security
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Lync)
  • Ability to work variable shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications (Desired)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • Experience in a collaborative environment such as a corporate GSOC, emergency operations center, or major urban area fusion center
  • Experience multitasking and rapid decision‑making in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) such as Google Maps, Bing Maps, ArcGIS, or Google Earth
  • Experience with global risk intelligence and incident response applications such as Dataminr, Everbridge, Factal, OnSolve, or WebEOC
  • Experience using open source research techniques (social media, traditional media, government websites)
  • Formal education in Emergency Management, International Affairs, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Fire Science, Public Administration, Cybersecurity, Security Studies, Strategic Intelligence, or International Business
  • Formal training in FEMA’s NIMS and Incident Command System (ICS)

Pay & Benefits

Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Eligible employees may enroll in health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid or unpaid time off. Export Control Requirements

This position requires U.S. export control compliance. A “U.S. Person” (Citizen, National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) is required for this US‑based role. US Person status (120.62) is mandatory.

Security Clearance

Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance is required. An interim or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required.
