We are seeking a professional Security Guard to join our team. In this role, you will be rotating between manning the office at the front entrance gate and patrolling the community. Gate duties will include assisting visitors, owners, renters and contractors when accessing the community. Monitoring remote cameras for unauthorized community access or issues. While patrolling the community you will act as a roving safety patrol within the community, watching for and reporting unsafe situations.

You will contact and assist emergency personnel, police, fire, or paramedics as needed within our community. Patrolling the community buildings, after hours checking to make sure the property is locked and secure. Responsible for maintaining proper documentation of activity during your shift. The goal of this position is to maintain a safe and secure environment within a 55+ Gated Community.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service and listening skills, patience and a high degree of honesty and integrity.

• Patrol the premises and maintain a high level of visibility within the community
• Monitor surveillance cameras
• Respond to reports of suspicious activity and notify Police when needed.
• Report on daily activities and any security incidents

• Previous experience as a Security Guard or in a similar position preferred
• High school diploma/GED
• Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures
• Excellent communication skills and report writing ability
• High level of honesty, integrity and professionalism
• Attention to detail and strong observational skills
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Basic computer skills
