Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all employees, clients, vendors, and visitors on company property have proper company‑issued identification.
• Patrol assigned posts on foot to maintain visibility and observe possible unusual activity.
• Ensure that the client, its associates, and NTT Data Centre personnel are provided with a safe and professional work environment.
• Investigate, address if possible, and report security, maintenance, and safety conditions.
• Maintain daily administrative documentation concise and complete at all times.
• Maintain assigned equipment in functional and presentable condition.
• Assist personnel with requests.
• Complete various company or client assignments as required.
• Assist with Shipping and Receiving tasks.
• Respond to emergencies—coordinate with local emergency management resources.
• Investigate and report fires, evacuations, hazardous situations, and other facility‑related events.
• Maintain familiarity of Security procedures and policies in addition to Company policies.
• Participate in investigations involving security‑related accidents/incidents, interview witnesses, complaints, and victims, and gather and preserve property.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Schedule:

Wednesday 1 am – 7 pm;
Thursday – Saturday 7 pm – 7 am.

• Strong observational and surveillance skills, with the ability to detect and respond to security threats or breaches effectively.

• Ability to respond to emergency situations at the data centre.
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays, and as part of on‑call protocol.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Additional education or training in security‑related fields is a plus.
• Possession of relevant certifications such as Certified Security Guard (CSG) or Certified Protection Officer (CPO).
• CPR/First Aid Certification (obtainable within six months of employment).

• Basic experience with standard methods, practices, tools and equipment for the security team.
• Basic experience in security roles, preferably in a data centre or similar environment.
• Basic experience in the administration and operation of access control systems, CCTV systems with digital recording, and photo  preferred.

This position requires onsite work at a data centre facility and may require use of a personal mobile device. A monthly stipend will be provided to cover expenses incurred for using a personal device, if applicable. NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Hourly base salary for this position is $18.90 – $23.60 and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with local state and federal “Wage and Hour” requirements.
