Position: Associate Global Security Watch Officer at The Boeing Company Mesa, AZ

Overview

Associate Global Security Watch Officer – Located in Mesa, AZ. This position operates 24/7/365 in the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), collaborating with security partners worldwide and delivering critical information to leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor worldwide events.
  • Identify events that could impact Boeing personnel, assets, and operations (e.g., natural disasters, political instability, terrorism, crime).
  • Draft and review concise notifications for distribution to decision‑makers and leaders.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional global security professionals to support GSOC operations.
  • Facilitate Boeing’s crisis‑management response.
  • Assist with event escalation and emergency communications to site, regional, and enterprise‑level Security & Fire Protection leadership.
  • Conduct detailed verbal situation briefings to Vice President level executives.
  • Implement and support GSOC operating procedures and best practices to drive business goals.
  • Participate in training and exercises to maintain GSOC proficiency and SOP compliance.
  • Identify gaps and conduct critical assessments of best practices in dynamic environments, including after‑action reviews.
  • Manage individual and group projects in support of strategic initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience or education covering one or more of: geopolitical instability, political violence, terrorism, travel safety & security, issue‑based activism, man‑made/natural disaster response, insider threat, counterintelligence, or physical security.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Lync).
  • Willing to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience.
  • 3+ years of experience communicating, writing and briefing at all staff levels.
  • Experience and training in FEMA’s National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS).
  • Experience analyzing open‑source intelligence (social media, traditional media, government websites).
  • Experience in Emergency Management, International Affairs, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Fire Science, Public Administration, Security Studies, Strategic Intelligence, or International Business.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment such as a GSOC, emergency operations center, or urban fusion center.
  • Experience in multi‑tasking and rapid decision‑making in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) such as Google Maps, Bing Maps, ArcGIS, or Google Earth.
  • Experience with global risk intelligence and incident response applications (Dataminr, Everbridge Suite, Factal, OnSolve, WebEOC).

• Fully onsite – no remote work.

• 24/7/365 rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays.

• Security clearance required; U.S. citizenship required for interim/final clearance.

Pay & Benefits

Competitive base pay and variable compensation. Total Rewards package includes health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, paid and unpaid leave options. Estimated pay range: $64,000 – $87,400.
