Position Overview

Position:
Patrol Officer – On Call (Part Time) – 2nd and 3rd Shifts

Location:

Leisure World Community Association – Mesa, AZ 85206

Shift Times: 2nd shift 1:45pm – 9:45pm; 3rd shift 9:45pm – 5:45am.

• Respond to alarms, emergencies and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Monitor and operate security surveillance systems, including CCTV and alarm systems.
• Patrol and supervise assigned areas of property, ensuring residents, guests, and staff are safe and within supervised areas.
• Ensure all others on the property are authorized visitors, monitor resident behavior and activity during community functions, promote positive behavior and enforce community policies, regulations, and procedures.
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance of security equipment to ensure it is in working order.
• Investigate and report unusual, suspicious or criminal activities; prevent or break up conflicts and fights; take photographs of incidents as appropriate; serve as first responder and refer incidents involving personal injuries, altercations, suspicious activities, or rule violations.
• Write detailed and accurate incident and activity reports documenting observations and actions taken.
• Enforce community parking and traffic regulations, advise residents, guests and staff; issue parking tickets; render assistance during traffic accidents; prepare accident reports.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of security experience.
• Experience with surveillance systems, security equipment, and emergency response procedures.
• Customer service experience, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Valid Arizona Driver's License.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or major moving violations within the past seven years.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
