As a Security Officer - Identity Verification in Mesa, AZ
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, responding to access-control and alarm-panel activity, and supporting visitors and employees with professional service. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate clearly, and help deter incidents through a visible presence.

• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology infrastructure location.
• Monitor and manage access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and follow established procedures for issuing and recovering access badges and keys.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site leadership and/or appropriate responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, exterior areas, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts.
• Maintain accurate activity reports and complete required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
