Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Aluminum MIG Welder to oversee and perform welding processes for MIG and TIG, ensuring all welds meet the highest standards. This role involves designing and fabricating metal parts, mentoring less experienced welders, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

• Perform and supervise advanced welding techniques, including multi-pass and pipe welding, on complex processes.
• Design and fabricate metal parts, components, and assemblies based on blueprints, drawings, or project specifications.
• Mentor and train less experienced welders, providing guidance and support to improve skills.
• Inspect completed welds for strength, durability, and quality, performing tests as needed.
• Maintain welding equipment to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex welding issues, adjusting techniques and settings as required.
• Collaborate with leadership, engineers, and other trades to ensure welding work meets specifications and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations at all times.
• Follow lean manufacturing guidelines and provide continuous improvement suggestions.

• 7+ years of experience in welding, with extensive experience in fabrication work.
• Expert knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and specialized welding methods.
• Proven leadership skills, with experience leading and mentoring welding teams.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Recent and extensive experience with aluminum welding.
• Experience in welding both aluminum and carbon steel, particularly thinner gauged steel.

Work in an air‑conditioned manufacturing facility in Mesa, Arizona, with shifts from Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 4:30 pm, and occasional overtime on Fridays. The environment includes lifting and moving up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching as required. Personal Protection Equipment is necessary, and the role requires good manual dexterity and multi‑limb coordination. The facility also provides electric charging stations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ 85212.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $31.00 / hr.
