Truck Mechanic

Join a dynamic concrete cutting company seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to work on heavy‑duty service trucks. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a range of fleet vehicles, including diesel pickups, water trucks, and transport trucks, as well as small‑engine equipment such as concrete cutting flat‑flat, ride‑it, ring, and hand saws, and coring drills. Light‑duty trucks to semi‑trucks.

The mechanic will handle day‑to‑day breakdowns, scheduled maintenance, complete service record paperwork, order parts, and update maintenance systems.

• Address day‑to‑day breakdowns as well as scheduled preventative maintenance for all vehicles and equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot, repair and maintain various mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment, power units, generators, and small engine repairs, including all vehicle issues
• Ability to travel and respond to field needs as and when needed (some nights and weekends)
• Perform multi‑point vehicle inspections including DOTs
• Maintain a clean work area for safety and efficiency
• Timely completion of work orders with accuracy and detail
• Research and order parts, maintaining an inventory to complete work timely

• 8+ years of experience working on trucks
• 5 years of heavy truck repair & maintenance experience
• 5 years of small engine trouble shooting and repair experience
• Experience with Ford 6.7L power stroke engine is highly desired
• Must have own tools to use in the shop
• Must pass pre‑employment drug screen, have a valid driver's license, & a good driving record
• Commercial driver's license preferred
• Ability to gain and maintain special clearance to sensitive work sites (military bases & airports)
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. or more on occasion
• Must have a clean driving record
• Ability to maintain data entry and schedules on a PC/tablet
• Willing to submit to a pre‑employment drug and background check

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
