Job Description

The ideal candidate will safely perform duties related to the safe operations of drills at a highly skilled level.

Responsibilities
  • Drilling quality primary and secondary blast holes, drilling to proper depth, and proper collaring of drill holes
  • Identifying and reporting any mechanical issues on the drill and recognizing when bits are wearing and require replacement
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip checks on equipment daily and maintain equipment in safe operating condition
  • Responsible for performing proper tramming techniques, such as properly and safely moving from one drill hole to the next, while operating on uneven grades
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Previous drilling experience
  • Knowledge of blasting operations procedures
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Must be willing to work outside in a variety of conditions
  • Must be dependable and report to work on time
  • Must be willing to travel to different locations within Phoenix and the surrounding areas
  • Must exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., safely climb ladders, and regularly walk on uneven ground
