Position
Aircraft Maintenance Technician, Level 3 (A&P) – GAC Mesa.
Education and Experience Requirements- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years of aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical).
- A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
Perform various technical functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components to ensure proper operation. Perform aircraft maintenance and perform troubleshooting and repair duties requiring accuracy and skill.
Responsibilities- Maintain and service all aircraft mechanical systems, repair and install mechanical, electrical, and control components.
- Coordinate with inspection teams to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection/documentation requirements.
- Complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork promptly.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and tag customer property and equipment, store components securely.
- Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when using ground support equipment.
- Operate and oversee use of special support equipment for removal and installation of major components.
- Coordinate with other departments for overhaul or repair of customer property as needed.
- Apply 6S and Lean initiatives to maintain clean shop, hangar, and aircraft work areas.
- Use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment.
- Coordinate movement of aircraft as required.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
- Advanced knowledge of relevant technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, ADS, etc.).
