We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, ensuring the overall maintenance of our community.
Key Responsibilities:- Unit Preparation: Efficiently prepare vacant units for occupancy, ensuring all service repairs meet high-quality standards.
- Exterior Maintenance: Conduct daily tasks such as trash collection, exterior light checks, landscaping maintenance, custodial work, and snow removal.
- OSHA Compliance: Maintain thorough knowledge of and comply with OSHA standards to ensure a safe living environment.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform and record preventative and scheduled maintenance as directed.
- Emergency Response: Participate in and ensure prompt response to on-call emergencies.
- Repair Work: Complete a wider range of repairs including drywall, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
- Tools and Inventory Management: Care for personal tools and maintain an inventory of community-owned equipment.
- Resident Engagement: Respond to resident requests in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Ability to autonomously resolve resident requests effectively.
- Demonstrated professionalism in all customer interactions, showcasing courteousness and a positive attitude.
- Strong capability in crisis management and prompt decision-making.
- Commitment to high safety standards through adherence to regulations and proactive engagement in safety practices.

Experience/Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma / GED
Experience:
Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, or a position in a similar industry (plumbing/HVAC); previous apartment maintenance experience highly preferred.
Licenses: VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE; CPO/EPA Certification Highly Desirable
Physical Requirements:
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and, on rare occasions, move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside ambient temperatures, including excessive heat, cold, and precipitation. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and risk of electrical shock. You may be required to use a personal vehicle for company business.
