Role Overview

We are seeking an Electronics Technician 4 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit, you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio‑visual, IT systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high‑growth markets.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems, performing preventive maintenance, inspections, evaluations and inventory.

  • Leading teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision.
  • Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs and safety audits.
  • Installing and maintaining equipment at both the local and global level per design packages.
  • Programming and installation of head‑end equipment for access control, intrusion detection and CCTV systems.
  • Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at local and global levels.
  • Leading on‑site software commissioning and testing.
  • Leading inspections, evaluations and inventory; performing take‑off project drawings; creating documentation.
  • Documenting and tracking RFIs.
  • Design assist and feedback.
  • Documenting daily reports and project progress.
  • Communicating project and team member issues/concerns to management.
  • Creating and managing project schedule; integrating IDS, ACS and CCTV systems.
  • Forecasting and managing project labor hours.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors and subordinates.
  • Guiding and mentoring technicians.
Key Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Valid driver’s license; may require use of a company vehicle.
  • Acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
Education
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or
  • Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or
  • Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program.
  • Additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.
Required Experience
  • 8+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs.
  • 3 years focused on electronic security systems.
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Background working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Time‑management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills is a plus.
  • Must be able to travel 50%.
Desired Qualifications
  • Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS and CCTV systems (CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems, Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems) and experience installing these systems.
