Bloque Restoation is for a hands-on, experienced Demo Tech / Mitigation Technician to join our growing mitigation team. This role is responsible for performing and assisting with water, fire, and mold damage mitigation and demolition projects. The ideal candidate has experience in demo work or restoration, is dependable, holds a valid driver's license, and is ready to start ASAP.
This is a field position for someone who takes pride in delivering quality work, has strong integrity, and is looking to grow in a fast-paced environment helping customers restore their homes and properties after damage.
Key Responsibilities:Project Execution
- Perform on-site demolition and mitigation services, including water extraction, mold remediation, structural drying, and fire/smoke damage clean-up.
- Set up and monitor equipment such as air scrubbers, dehumidifiers, and air movers
- Prepare, contain, and clean job sites in accordance with industry standards (IICRC)
- Follow direction from supervisors and contribute to timely and thorough completion of jobs
- Complete job documentation accurately, including moisture readings, photos, and scope notes, using company software
- Ensure all work performed is compliant with safety regulations, company protocols, and restoration standards
- Properly document and label contents removed from the site and ensure secure storage or disposal
- Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor with property owners, tenants, and clients
- Clearly explain the scope of work and answer customer questions on-site
- Coordinate with the office, estimators, and project managers to ensure smooth job flow
- Ensure all necessary paperwork has been signed by the customer before beginning work
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
- Ensure trucks are stocked, clean, and prepared for daily jobs
- Monitor and maintain a safe and organized work environment at each jobsite
- Experience in mitigation/restoration required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, attics, crawlspaces, and on ladders
- Must be available for on-call rotation, including occasional nights and weekends
