This role focuses on the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in large commercial and industrial projects within a modern, air-conditioned manufacturing facility. You will perform complex troubleshooting and diagnostics, ensure work meets blueprint specifications and safety regulations, and support continuous improvement initiatives in line with lean manufacturing practices.
Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems for large commercial and industrial projects, ensuring reliable and efficient operation.
- Perform complex troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems and thermal equipment, resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, specifications, and relevant safety regulations and electrical codes.
- Coordinate daily with leadership, engineers, and other trades to ensure electrical work aligns with overall project goals and timelines.
- Bend conduit accurately and safely, and complete terminations and connections in accordance with technical requirements and standards.
- Work with control panels and low-voltage systems (including 20 WAT and 10 WAT), ensuring proper installation, wiring, and functionality.
- Oversee and maintain inventory of electrical materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring proper stock levels and availability for ongoing work.
- Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols for electrical work to minimize risk and promote a safe working environment.
- Follow lean manufacturing guidelines and actively contribute continuous improvement suggestions to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Use and care for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required, adhering to all safety policies and practices.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to plan and execute electrical tasks accurately.
- Collaborate with team members, apprentices, and other electricians to share knowledge and support a high-performing team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational or technical training in electrical systems preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical installation and repair.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical systems and HVAC equipment.
- Proficient in bending conduit and performing accurate terminations.
- Experience working with control panels and low-voltage systems (including 20 WAT and 10 WAT).
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, leadership, and other trades.
Skills & Qualifications
- Vocational or technical training in electrical systems or related fields is an asset.
- Experience in large commercial or industrial project environments.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
- Comfort working across different shift schedules as needed.
- Ability to manage tools and material inventory efficiently.
- Willingness to support and mentor team members at apprentice through journeyman levels.

The role is based in a modern, air-conditioned manufacturing facility featuring state-of-the-art, industry 4.0 technology. Positions are available on both first and second shifts, with a team structure that includes multiple openings across apprentice to journeyman levels. The standard schedule includes Monday through Thursday shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for designated areas, with confirmed holiday pay for Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day, and work requirements on the preceding days with additional holiday pay afterward.
The environment requires regular standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching, as well as the ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds and climb portable ladders. Good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are necessary to perform detailed electrical work.…
