Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of Company operated aircraft and articles as assigned in accordance with Air Methods’ policies and procedures.
- Perform inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Verify by physical inspection or markings on the part that the part number and serial number match the associated documentation.
- Ensure all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals.
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement phase of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
- Maintain work area in a clean and professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Utilize Air Method’s EAP system to account for time on task accurately.
- Identify all needed parts, tools and supplies for non-routine discrepancy findings.
- Perform maintenance on 145 shop’s support equipment.
- Mentor and train less experienced mechanics.
- Actively participate in 145 shop LEAN process improvements.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 5 to 7 years’ related aircraft maintenance experience required
- AS350 or EC130 experience preferred
- Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred
- FAR 145 operations preferred
- Electrical troubleshooting and refined vibration-balancing
- Ability to read and understand various documents such as 337’s, Service Bulletins, AD’s, etc.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
- Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation
- Efficient in the use of electronic or paper based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information
- Ability to learn and utilize the Company’s ERP system (Ramco)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to apply creativity and problem solving skills in troubleshooting work
- FAA A&P License in good standing preferred
- Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred.
