Building Engineer

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across all building systems
• Operate, maintain, and repair mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and associated equipment
• Record equipment readings and system parameters, make adjustments, and identify potential issues
• Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors
• Manage facility services, purchasing, inventory control, contracted maintenance coordination, and general maintenance tasks
• Check tool and instrument inventory and ensure equipment is maintained and ready for use
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, including ballast replacement
• Maintain and repair plumbing fixtures and operate drain cleaning augers
• Comply with hazardous-material storage, usage, and disposal policies while maintaining a clean and safe workplace

• 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems
• Ability to analyze industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems, diagnose problems or malfunctions, and take corrective action
• Working knowledge of CMMS, such as Corrigo
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Physical ability to bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach, and lie as required to access equipment components for extended periods
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, sunlight, rain, cold, daylight, and nighttime hours
• EPA 608 Type II Certification or higher for refrigerant handling (preferred)
• Additional EPA certifications, with Universal certification preferred (preferred)
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and CMMS (preferred)
• Trade certifications or technical school training in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing disciplines (preferred)
• Experience in mission-critical facilities or environments requiring 24/7 operations (preferred)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Demonstrates expertise in operating, maintaining, and repairing commercial building systems, including HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems. Proficient in utilizing CMMS for maintenance management and ensuring compliance with safety and hazardous material policies.
