Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
FCP Euro is hiring a Facilities and Maintenance Technician Level 1 for our fulfillment center in Mesa, AZ
. This hands-on role reports directly to the Facilities & Maintenance Assistant Manager. You will provide critical tactical support to keep our high-speed fulfillment center running safely and efficiently. This includes performing preventative maintenance (PM) and rapid troubleshooting on our conveyance, automated print-and-apply systems, fluid power machinery, and racking layouts, alongside general building upkeep.

- Conveyance & Sortation
:
Perform routine maintenance, belt tracking adjustments, sensor cleaning, and minor mechanical repairs on all motorized conveyors. - Print & Apply Systems
:
Maintain and troubleshoot automated inline labeling and print-and-apply systems to prevent shipping bottlenecks. - Fluid Power & Mechanics
:
Execute PM schedules and basic diagnostics on pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic balers, and associated valving. - Material Handling Equipment
:
Assemble, disassemble, modify, and repair industrial racking layouts and pack stations to optimize workflow. - Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT):
Support routine safety checks and minor mechanical maintenance on the warehouse lift fleet.
- Facility Repairs
:
Conduct structural touch-ups including painting, minor electrical swaps, basic plumbing fixes, and routine HVAC filter/belt replacements. - Vendor Escort
:
Act as the primary internal point of contact for external trade vendors (licensed electricians, major HVAC, security, fire suppression). - Ticket Queue Management
:
Monitor the internal facility ticketing system independently to prioritize, status-update, and close out repair requests. - Workspace Cleanliness
:
Keep maintenance shops, utility rooms, and fulfillment floor technical areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Experience
:
Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on mechanical, machine shop, or automotive repair experience (distribution center or manufacturing environment preferred). - Technical Aptitude
:
Demonstrated ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and digital multimeters to diagnose standard mechanical failures. - Physical Demands
:
Capability to consistently lift, push, or pull up to 60+ pounds and work on ladders or aerial platforms as required. - Tech Literacy
:
Proficiency using internal digital tools including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs) to track maintenance ticketing logs. - Problem Solving
:
Critical thinking skills to look past the surface symptom and fix the true root cause of equipment downtime. - Meticulous Execution
: A strong "paints behind the cabinet" mentality focused on clean, accurate, and durable repairs. - Communication
:
Ability to clearly update operational team leaders on current equipment downtime status and upcoming maintenance windows. - Education
:
High School Diploma/GED required; progress toward a trade certification or an Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Plumbing is highly preferred.
