Overview

RISE provides services for people with disabilities including residential settings, day programs, employment assistance, managed care, and hourly supports. Our mission is to create opportunities for and with people. This includes not only individuals and families for whom we provide services and supports but also employees and stakeholders.

Position Summary

We are seeking part-time Direct Support Professionals in our HBCS (Home and Community Based Services) program who are passionate about working with individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities include providing assistance to individuals living on their own by taking them out into the community, assisting with daily in-home tasks, and providing behavioral support.

Compensation

HCBS Direct Support Professional hourly rate varies by the type of service being delivered; rates range from $15.50 to $18.50.

Qualifications
  • Desire and interest in working with people with disabilities or special needs and respect for cultural differences.
  • At least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Verbal and written communication skills adequate for the specific job.
  • Ability to successfully pass background checks with Arizona Central Registry and Arizona Adult Protective Services and obtain Level One Fingerprint Clearance.
  • Specific language abilities (other than English) may be required.
  • Reliable transportation to the work site and for transporting people, if applicable.
  • Access to a telephone.
  • Ability to meet minimum training requirements and complete renewals as assigned.
  • If required to drive an approved RISE vehicle, must be 21+ and pass drug test, maintain a valid driver’s license, and submit an acceptable driving record.
  • If personal vehicle is used for transporting people, must provide current auto insurance that meets the minimum requirements of RISE insurance policies.
