About the role

As a Facets .Net Software Engineer – Healthcare Integration
, you will make an impact by designing and delivering end‑to‑end technology solutions that support critical healthcare platforms. You will be a valued member of our Healthcare Engineering team, working closely with stakeholders, architects, and global delivery teams to build scalable, high‑quality solutions using modern cloud‑native technologies.

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into clear solution designs.
• Prepare and contribute to end‑to‑end solution architecture and technical design documentation.
• Lead and contribute to the development team to implement scalable, reliable solutions.
• Design and build solutions using C#, .NET Core, Go, Kafka, APIs, and Mongo
  
  DB/SQL.
• Perform unit testing using XUnit and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Conduct peer and architect code reviews to maintain quality and consistency.
• Support QA, UAT, and production deployments, including issue resolution.
• Communicate technical status, risks, and design decisions to project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop prototypes and define solution approaches.
• Work effectively within onshore/offshore delivery models to meet project timelines.

• 5+ years of hands‑on software development experience.
• Strong experience with .NET Core, C#, Go, Mongo
  
  DB/SQL, APIs, Kafka.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and collaborative development practices.
• Familiarity with Git Hub, Jenkins, Jira, and Postman.
• Ability to perform unit testing using XUnit or similar frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
• Willingness and interest in working within an onshore–offshore delivery model.

• Experience in the healthcare domain, particularly payer systems.
• Hands‑on development experience with SSIS, SQL Server, and .NET.
• Knowledge of Facets or QNXT, including backend tables and configurations.
• Experience working with EDI and encounter/claims processing.
• Understanding of health plans, providers, and healthcare data flows.
• Ability to clearly explain technical processes, issues, and logic to diverse audiences.

Salary: The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $77K-$90K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Incentives: This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
