Experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer
Seeking an experienced full-stack software engineer to support our Fish Tools team located in Mesa, AZ or Aurora, CO or Chantilly, VA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization. The Fish Tools program seeks a hardworking, motivated, and creative full-stack software developer to engineer new solutions and capabilities for agile software applications. This engineer will assist/lead design and development of front-end user interfaces that integrate with cloud-based software systems that follow modern Dev Sec Ops and Agile execution processes.
This engineer will coordinate and execute in collaboration with UX designs across large, multi-faceted scaled systems. The customer's needs require state-of-the-art, software-intensive systems to efficiently and optimally task, plan, exploit, and disseminate data for hardware platforms (e.g. satellites, ground systems, etc.) for maximum stakeholder value.
Position Responsibilities:
- Analyzing high level customer requirements and deriving lower-level functional requirements.
- Software development tasks including detailed software design, coding, and unit/integration/functional/system testing of customer desired features/user stories.
- Briefing software designs and demonstrating software release functionality to customer/stakeholders/end users.
- Develop and sustain new and existing applications; as well as troubleshoot and resolve various software issues.
- Contribute to the creation of new distributed components and interactions that align with the future system architecture.
The existing multi-tiered system is developed on a cloud infrastructure with several consumer-facing web applications. Occasional business travel and after-hours support may be required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
This position requires an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) 3+ years of foundational knowledge of object-oriented design and software patterns Experience with Git Version Control Education/experience:
Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard Ability to pass Background, Drug Screen and if applicable Medical (i.e. Vision, Hearing, or Physical) if Required by Client.
