uHost is currently building a non-traditional sales team of energetic, bright, pre-customer service technicians with a passion for helping people and an understanding of Linux.

The successful candidate will provide complex technical advice to our prospects who are evaluating their managed hosting options, and support our technicians as they learn about the customers who decided to host with us. uHost is currently seeking an energetic, bright Linux System Administrator to work with our Managed Linux customers.

The successful candidate will provide complex technical services for our Linux managed hosting infrastructure and respond to the needs of customers. Other key responsibilities will include implementing, configuring and/or maintaining dedicated Linux servers in a high-availability environment. This position requires a candidate who shows self-initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Associate's degree or Trade School certificate in a related field

• Demonstrated technical Linux administration skills on Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Experience with project leadership, as well as product, services and solutions management
• Experience with Java/JEE application servers, including Tomcat, Resin, and JBoss
• Experience with Ruby on Rails Deployments
• Experience with PHP Deployments
• Experience with local area and wide area network administration
