Position Overview

We are seeking a safety-minded, dependable, and physically active Local Class A CDL Driver for a dual Yard Hostler and Shuttle operation in the Phoenix area. This is a critical role where timing, precision, and a strong safety focus keep our plant running smoothly. You will be home daily, driving night shifts, and handling local shuttle runs alongside yard management.

• Local Shuttle Work: Pick up trailers from the bakery and transport them to the Distribution Center (DC)—a short, efficient 7-mile run between locations.
• Yard Hostling: Perform yard jockeying and asset management at both the bakery and the DC.
• Cargo Security: Seal and secure all trailers before shuttling. This is a critical task; accuracy prevents operational delays and plant shutdowns.
• Physical Unloading: Safely unload lift-gate trailers containing bread stacks and wheeled bread carts/trays at delivery or transit points.
• Flexibility: Assist with local delivery runs if bakery shuttle operations are caught up for the shift.

• Experience: Must have at least 6 months of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience within the last 12 months.
• License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

• Physical Ability: Ability to perform physical work daily, including operating lift-gates and maneuvering wheeled bread carts/stacks.
