Delivery Driver Non CDL – Mesa, AZ

Pay: $18 – $20 per hour

About the Role

You will:

  • Operate trucks safely and in compliance with company rules, applicable laws, and regulations; destinations include job sites, customer facilities, vendor facilities, other Hajoca locations, and other wholesalers as directed by management.
  • Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise, secure the load to prevent shifting or damage, and ensure equipment for unloading is available.
  • Understand shipping documents associated with the merchandise and have accurate directions to each delivery destination.
  • Review shipping documentation and ensure order accuracy.
  • Unload correct merchandise and place it where the receiving party wants it; obtain a legible signature for all delivered merchandise per company policy.
  • Collect and secure outstanding payments for all cash sale deliveries prior to releasing the material to the customer.
  • Work with customers at the delivery site to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately.
  • Load the truck at other locations with merchandise, including merchandise picked up at vendor locations, returned by customers, and purchased from other wholesalers.
  • Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses discovered while making deliveries.
  • Inspect the truck and required parts and accessories to determine safe operating condition prior to departure; keep the truck clean of debris.
  • Advise management of any mechanical problems with the truck and complete the Daily Vehicle Inspection Report if a defect is found.
  • At the end of the workday, remove keys from the truck and store them in the approved location.
  • Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and other management as required.
About You
  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Possess a proper and valid driver’s license.
  • Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with company policy.
  • Be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs.; for a non‑CDL driver you must pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before starting work and again at least every two years while employed.
  • Know the laws, rules, and regulations governing driving motor vehicles, including those applicable to commercial motor vehicles per Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Know and apply safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and co‑workers.
  • Remain calm and function effectively in stressful, unexpected, or emergency situations.
  • Learn to operate warehouse material‑handling equipment.
  • Learn and operate the computer‑related systems used in the delivery process.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Perform basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
