Position Overview

The Health Mobile Driver is responsible for transporting Banner employees to various facilities and operating the mobile clinic unit. The driver starts at Banner Children’s Administration (1432 S. Dobson Road, Suite 502), picks up a Medical Assistant (MA) at the Mesa location (564 W. 9th Place, Suite 2, Mesa, AZ), and then travels to designated destination sites:
Monday – TBD, Tuesday – Banner Health Maricopa Health Clinic (17900 N. Porter Road), Wednesday – Banner Ironwood (37000 N. Gantzel Road).

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport Banner employees and the MA to the assigned facilities.
  • Maintain the mobile clinic, including fueling, cleaning before each shift, cleaning after each shift, and ensuring it remains in proper working condition.
CORE FUNCTIONS
  • Operate the assigned vehicle in non‑emergent situations and varying weather conditions, providing safe, reliable, and timely transport to the designated point of service.
  • Perform general care and maintenance of the vehicle: refueling, scheduling oil changes, tune‑ups, washing, and vacuuming. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and accurately inventory medical equipment, supplies, and medications assigned to the vehicle.
  • Report all mechanical problems or concerns to the supervisor and maintain an accurate log of vehicle runs and all other vehicle activity.
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient care reports (PCRs) and prepare logs or other applicable records during the assigned shift.
  • Monitor supply stock levels and notify housekeeping, maintenance, biomedical engineering, or others to ensure proper equipment and a safe environment.
  • Provide timely delivery of services while focusing on customer service for staff, physicians, patients, family members, visitors, and multiple off‑campus business offices.
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
    • Eligibility for coverage under Banner Health’s auto insurance policy.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Physical examination passed prior to starting the role.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Fluency in English and Spanish.
    • Additional related education and/or experience.
