The Airplane Pilot at SRP provides exceptional fixed-wing flight operations expertise. Responsible for professional flight operations and supporting non-flying duties essential to the flight department’s success. This role requires extensive flight operations experience and the ability to quickly acquire new aviation skills.

• Serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) for SRP’s fixed-wing aircraft, including a Cessna Citation 560 series airplane.
• Conduct a variety of missions, including parts transport, corporate/VIP travel, and crew shuttles.
• Operate in complex airspace (Phoenix metro area), throughout the U.S., and occasionally in Mexico.
• Operate safely in high-density altitude environments and in day/night IFR conditions.
• Perform cross-country flights, including overnight trips, as needed.
• Execute short-field takeoffs and landings.
• Ground handle, load, and refuel aircraft as required.
• Communicate with passengers regarding safety procedures and flight details.
• Perform additional job-related non‑flying duties as assigned to support overall flight department success.

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

• Minimum 3,000 hours fixed-wing PIC time, including:
  • 1,500 hours multi-engine
  • 1,000 hours turbine
  • 100 hours in make/model (or as required by insurance)
• Valid ATP certificate required.
• Valid type rating for Cessna 500 series (preferred)

• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound, independent judgment and self-dispatch authority in alignment with SRP Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Proven capability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse SRP teams, including union trade personnel, engineers, environmental stakeholders, and corporate executives.
