Position: Material Handler (1st Shift)

Job Overview

Under close supervision, rotates through the Warehouse and performs activities associated with movement of material through the various warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, shrink wrap, etc.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Utilizes a variety of forklift equipment to move material located in the warehouse, including loading and unloading of material from warehouse racks.
  • Prepares material for delivery to the production floor.
  • Place packed material in hold racks until green-tagged for shipment and offloads/loads lobster cages.
  • Matches part and lot numbers to complete a full skid and utilizes automated shrink-wrap machine and places material in holding racks.
  • Once green tags are acquired, remove material from holding racks, verify quantity, bands material, if necessary, completes master label and transfers quantities in computer system.
  • Loads trucks for shipment and off-loads trucks.
  • May supply production areas with boxes, skids and inserts as well as relocate leftover materials back into storage areas.
  • Off-loads cardboard bail with lift truck and places bail on flat bed for recycling.
  • Complete paperwork and reports as required by the functional area within the warehouse (shipping, inventory control, etc.) or the specific warehouse process.
  • Rotates through the various warehouse functions on a set schedule or, as needed, and performs the tasks associated within the specific function.
  • May utilize lift truck to assist technicians with movement of equipment and/or offloading of trucks.
  • May assist in the reconciliation of warehouse transactions, identification/tracking of material, inventory counts as well as other miscellaneous activities related to the warehousing process.
Qualifications

Ability:
Must be able to be certified on the forklifts and equipment used within the Warehouse, HAZCOM and SPC.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

1-2 years experience required.

Must be familiar with Materials terminology and the warehousing process.

Must be able to rotate through the various functions of the warehouse, as needed, and perform all tasks within each function.

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Other Requirements

ZF Lifetec Mesa Operations screening process includes a 10 panel substance abuse screening test that includes testing for THC.
