We are seeking a highly dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our Cage Operations team as a Cage Cashier. This role is essential to maintaining secure, efficient, and accurate monetary transactions within the casino environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional integrity, customer service, calm and outgoing personality, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, regulated setting. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a willingness and ability to adapt, learn, and grow, all while demonstrating company core values of good, better, best.
Summary(Responsibilities)
Reports to Cage Supervisor. The cage cashier handles financial transactions including exchanging cash for casino tokens, performing credit checks, and cashing checks. Cage cashiers provide prompt, courteous, and accurate service to all Cage patrons.
QualificationsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to reconcile large amounts of currency and coinage.
- Requires a neat and clean appearance, friendly attitude and demeanor.
- Requires the ability to follow directions from a supervisor.
- Requires the ability to interact effectively with co-workers.
- Requires the ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.
- Requires the ability to work extended hours, when necessary.
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with casino patrons and personnel.
- Requires the ability to distinguish numbers, letters and symbols.
- Ability to work fast and meet deadlines.
- Dependable attendance and ability to attend work on time.
- Possess computer literacy.
AGE and
CERTIFICATIONS:
- 21 years of age or above.
- Nevada Gaming License.
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous cash handling or accounting experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
SPECIAL
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to accurately process data using a computer.
- Proficient 10-key touch.
LANGUAGE
SKILLS:
- Ability to read and understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints.
MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals to process and reconcile customer transactions.
