Compensation: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Job Description

Under moderate-to-general supervision, the Registered Behavior Technician provides support within a positive treatment environment, teaching and modeling healthy behaviors consistent with treatment goals such as mental health, independence, socialization, relationships, and community integration. The RBT plays a key role in promoting satisfying, productive, and valued lives.

Essential Job Functions
  • Complete assessments of functional living skills and assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment goals.
  • Monitor performance of independent living skills and provide appropriate community support.
  • Collaborate with external partners (schools, families, landlords, employers, etc.).
  • Provide individualized crisis assistance as outlined in treatment/service plans.
  • Communicate relevant care information with team members and outside providers as authorized.
  • Complete documentation, charting, and progress notes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality of protected health information in accordance with HIPAA, state, and company policies.
  • Attend required team meetings, service planning events, and ongoing training sessions.
Independent Living Skills May Include:
  • Social

    Skills:

    Understanding body language, eye contact, conversational skills, empathy, and community recreation.
  • Executive Functioning: Flexibility, time and money management, hygiene, vocational and educational goals, safety, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Asking for help or a break, expressive/receptive language, conflict resolution, and stress management.
  • Community Resource Access: Navigating public transit, attending school, job placement, and appointments.
Qualifications
  • Required: High school diploma and 6-12 months experience working with individuals with autism, op positional defiance disorder (ODD), or conduct disorder.
  • Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, human services, or a related field. Training in behavior analysis is a plus.
