Varied shifts – Sunday to Wednesday and Saturday;
Tuesday to Saturday.
- Actively monitor all casino and hotel property, employees, and patrons via CCTV/audio equipment for suspicious activities such as theft and cheating.
- Operate a bank of screens, monitor slot and security radio traffic, answer multiple phone lines, submit written reports of incidents, and contact emergency services when required.
- Review video and documents related to slot and table game jackpots, complaints, procedure errors, risk management issues, player and employee observations, theft, and variances.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of surveillance operations.
- Utilize computers and software to attach files to email; write and prepare daily reports, logs, pit pages, and complete other required documents.
- Secure evidence by dubbing and saving video files.
- Testify in court as a company's representative when necessary.
- Understand, follow, and implement all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Assure adherence to all gaming rules and regulations.
- Age: 21 years of age or above.
- Language skills:
Ability to read and understand written English documents; ability to respond to inquiries, complaints, and emergencies. Fluency in English required; ability to speak Spanish preferred. - Education/
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of gaming experience preferred; training and/or surveillance experience accepted. - Special qualifications:
Strong observation skills; ability to perceive, identify, monitor, and assess suspicious activities, behavior and issues quickly. - Working knowledge of all table games, slots, race & sports book, cage and soft and hard count procedures.
- Knowledge of advantage play systems and cheating methods and basic strategy.
- Computer skills:
Microsoft Office Word and Excel; detailed knowledge of surveillance cameras, CCTV equipment, and digital recording devices.
Reports directly to the Surveillance Supervisor and Surveillance Manager. The Surveillance Operator runs all surveillance computer equipment, monitors all areas of the property, and closely observes a target game, staff member, or customer to ensure compliance with applicable gaming regulations. The Surveillance Operator reports improper activity or disturbances to the supervisor or security team for further investigation and performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
