Responsibilities:

* Creates request for quotation (RFQ);
Communicates with vendors and selects vendors based on price, service and ability to meet production needs

* Processing Invoices for all orders and ensuring orders are received

* Processes purchase requisitions from internal departments and ensure proper approvals have been given prior to placing items on order

* Identifies and communicates issues arising from the supply of materials and services with both the vendor and internal requisitioner.

* Works with team members to identify instances of damaged shipments, including addressing and following up with suppliers and requisitioner.

* Monitors, evaluates, and analyzes vendor performance to ensure quality and delivery requirements are met

* Manages supplier relationships and update management on any issues with vendors

* Performs new material cost evaluation for management review

* Takes on additional tasks when other departmental staff are absent

* Ensures that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct

* Supports ISO 9001 activities

* Adheres to all environmental, health and safety rules and policies

* Quarterly and Yearly data collection is preferred.

Qualifications and

Experience:

* Degree/Diploma in procurement field and/or related experience

* Demonstrated analytical skills with particular attention to detail

* Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization

* Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with user departments and key external stakeholders

* Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently

* Excellent time and project management skills

* Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Office and enterprise ERP system and e-mail required

* Experience using SAP is an asset
