Overview
The Superintendent oversees daily commercial roofing operations across one or multiple job sites, coordinating labor, materials, equipment and subcontractors; reviewing project plans and schedules; and ensuring work is performed according to contract requirements and manufacturer guidelines. This role supervises foremen, crews and subcontractors; assigns tasks, monitors productivity, provides training on proper roofing techniques and safety procedures; enforces company policies and OSHA regulations;
conducts safety meetings, addresses unsafe conditions, maintains quality control by inspecting work and coordinating manufacturer inspections; tracks job progress and budgets; adjusts manpower; communicates schedule changes; manages material takeoffs and inventory; minimizes waste; and serves as the primary on-site contact for project managers, clients and inspectors while maintaining reports, timesheets and job logs.
- 5+ years of commercial roofing experience across multiple systems
- Prior supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of roofing installation methods
- The ability to read blueprints
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency
- Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
