We are search of a friendly and experienced Lead Dental Assistant with the ability to adapt to general and pediatric dentistry.

Job Description:
  • The Lead Dental Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of dental assisting duties while promoting quality dental care for our patients and a safe environment of minimal stress.
  • The Lead Dental Assistant is required to assist the doctor, teach the patients how to care for their teeth, communicate effectively with patients (parents if patient is a child), and follow universal precautions and all OSHA requirements.
  • This Lead RDA will also be responsible for ordering, assisting in training of new sterile techs, assigning duties, and ensuring that the back office runs efficiently and effectively.
  • This position requires working Saturdays.
Dental Assistant Requirements:
  • One year of Dental Assisting Experience
  • Dental Assistant License
  • CPR Certification
  • Ability to help train and develop Sterile Techs
  • Bilingual a plus, but not required

Dental Assistant

Job Duties:
  • Set up and seat patients for the doctor; make sure rooms are properly stocked, cleaned, and set up for treatment.
  • Give great patient care while following protocols for setting up patients.
  • Lead and train team members with encouragement, respect, and understanding.
  • Lead by example.
  • Ensure supplies are ordered and that equipment is running correctly.
  • Troubleshoot problems in the clinic.
  • Patient Notes and Documentation – correctly document all patient notes and initials on correct forms.
  • Ensure consents, medical clearances, and prescriptions are completed.
  • Cheerfully assist the doctor chairside with all procedures.
  • Medical Records – ensure all records have been received for the patient.
  • Release records to providers/patients needing copies.
  • Assist the doctor by using appropriate materials and instruments while treating patients.
  • Follow all OSHA and Practice Safety Precautions.
  • Accurately take radiographs to decrease the need for retakes and exposure to radiation.
  • Treatment Plans/Charges – ensure that treatment plan charges are assigned to the patient and discounts are correct.
