Primary Purpose

To coordinate and manage all campus student assessment processes while leading the MTSS and intervention systems to ensure timely, data-driven support for student success.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Aware, i-Ready, Skyward, Panorama, and other programs including Excel
  • Knowledge of standardized testing, and ability to disaggregate, interpret and use testing data
  • Knowledge of the RTI process and MTSS systems
  • Understanding of pedagogical skills
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
  • Knowledge of change process, organizational development, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills
  • Highly effective organizational and consensus building skills
  • Understanding of learning styles and competence in developing and delivering instruction appropriate to students' developmental needs
  • Ability to develop instructional strategies, technologies, resources, and techniques for intervention
  • Behavior management techniques and interventions
  • Attendance and truancy prevention measures and interventions
  • Effective communication skills and techniques, including verbal, nonverbal, and media communication sensitive to student differences and needs

Experience
  • Five years or more of successful teaching or campus leadership experience
  • Other alternatives to the above qualifications as acceptable
Major Responsibilities and Duties
  • Access Texas Assessment & Cambium for test data and other testing requirements
  • Organize and coordinate all aspects of district, state, and other required testing, including campus trainings, secure material management, test administration, preparation on online testing through TIDE, and accuracy of all coding
  • Communicate with auxiliary personnel about test day needs (cafeteria, custodial, etc.)
  • Collaborate with MTSS, special education representatives, 504 case managers, and LPAC representatives for proper documentation of accommodations and ensure all students receive their testing accommodations
  • Disaggregate all testing results and confer, as needed, with principal, teachers, and parents

    Attend all district/campus trainings and meetings pertaining to testing and various data systems used to track student test data and performance
  • Use data to identify struggling students and lead the coordination of the campus MTSS system
  • Attend all district/campus MTSS trainings and lead campus staff MTSS professional learning
  • Assist teachers in designing instruction for students in need of intervention, including student observation
  • Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis, provide progress reports as required, and communicate with parents as needed
  • Design and implement instruction specifically for at‑risk students to enable their success
  • Develop student behavior plans that are consistent with established administrative policies
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation
  • Maintain an ongoing program of professional growth that fulfills district requirements and personal expectations as a professional
  • Attend campus and district meetings to promote communication and mutual decision making among staff
  • Participate in traditional school-sponsored activities (e.g., Student Orientation, Open House, programs, and activities) agreed upon by the building principal
  • Deliver presentations and trainings in the areas of assessment and intervention to campus leadership and staff
  • Prepare reports for campus meetings and attend as directed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
