Salary: $22.30/hr. minimum - $26.02/hr. midpoint (Depending on qualifications)
To provide support and maintain the city’s audiovisual (AV) infrastructure. This role will be responsible for managing and maintaining a network of cameras, troubleshooting AV issues, ensuring all AV software is up to date, and will make recommendations for system improvements. The ideal candidate will also assist with equipment installations, vendor coordination, and provide on-site support for city council meetings and conference room setups.
SUPERVISION
General supervision provided by the Director of Information Technology.
All behaviors comply with the Code of Conduct and Rules of Behavior outlined in Chapter 8 of the General Government Policies and Procedures Manual.Work with other IT personnel to plan and implement expansion and upgrade of existing audiovisual services.Maintain documentation for city-wide audiovisual equipment and services.Serve as a primary resource for all audiovisual solutions within the City both managing and supporting.Monitor and manage all AV equipment across the city, including cloud-based and on-premises systems.Troubleshoot issues with projectors, TVs, and conference room displays, ensuring seamless operation.Regularly inspect and maintain 200+ surveillance cameras across the city, ensure functionality and software updates.Identify and resolve AV issues proactively before they impact city operations.Research and recommend upgrades for AV equipment, including conference and training room technology.Obtain quotes from and evaluate vendor solutions, assist with installation, and manage projects.Identify appropriate solutions for any faulty equipment such as TV’s, projectors or A/V related equipment.Provide live AV technical support during all city council meetings and workshops ensuring microphones, speakers, and presentation systems function properly.Maintain and upgrade conference and training room AV systems, including multiple screens and collaboration tools.Regularly test and verify functionality of all AV equipment across all city locations.Support A/V needs for City Council Meetings, conferences, training, and other such events.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and maintain AV software documentation and reference material.Provide Advanced technical support to staff and system users.Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.Perform other duties as assigned.EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE
Troubleshooting with the ability to respond quickly to technical issues.
Research, evaluate, and recommend AV technology solutions.
CRIMINAL HISTORY
Employee will not have a record of being convicted of a Class B misdemeanor or higher offense in order to work with and view Criminal Justice Information Services data.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
WORK SCHEDULE
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, though flexible depending on non-business hours event coverages.
