Shift: M–F 2 pm‑10:30 pm.
Job SummaryResponsible for batch formulation, mixing materials, quality color matching/tinting, and quality of finished product processing within the duties and functions of the department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Follow batch formulas for proper dispersion into tanks.
- Mix raw materials and perform quality checks.
- Match and tint colors to customer specifications using a color spectrophotometer and eye‑shading expertise.
- Measure materials accurately and deliver them to assigned holding tanks using electronic gauges, valves, temperature‑controls, and flow meters.
- Maintain quality and cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
- Communicate with other departments for proper transfer of completed dispersion (e.g., milling, shading, packing).
- Maintain forklift or related equipment, checking battery and charger hook‑up.
- Track and replace filters to maintain material flow efficiency.
- Work cross‑train in other departments as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school degree required.
- Basic math skills (addition/subtraction).
- Previous experience accurately matching color specifications.
- Team‑oriented with strong cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and cleanliness.
- Proficiency with company software and computer systems.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work safely and follow SOPs.
- Ability to operate fill‑by‑weight machines, video jets, labelers, palletizers, case packers, can and carton computers, and depalletizers.
- Physical capacity to lift 10–75 lbs., stand, walk, kneel, and use stairs for an 8–10 hour shift, including occasional overtime or weekend work.
Pay Range
: USD $23.30–$30.80 /hr.
