Production S Engineer

Position: Production 5 S Engineer
* Production Management:

* Supervise daily production activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

* Monitor production lines and adjust schedules and workflows to meet production targets.

* Ensure that production processes are operating within established quality and safety standards.

* Ensure meeting daily KPI.

* Responsible for the overall shop floor according to area/section assigned.

* Ensure all assigned production employees undergo required training and perform their job accordingly.

* Ensure to report daily achievement and issue to management

* Responsible for shop floor stock accuracy.

* Process Optimization:

* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs.

* Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

* Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and product quality.

* Quality Assurance:

* Monitor and maintain product quality through regular inspections and testing.

* Investigate and resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

* Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and standards.

* Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:

* Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions and process deviations.

* Collaborate with process and equipment teams to address complex problems and implement solutions.

* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.

* Safety and Compliance:

* Ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.

* Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

* Develop and enforce safety procedures and training programs for production staff.

* Documentation and Reporting:

* Maintain accurate records of production activities, including process changes, equipment checklist, and quality control.

* Prepare and present reports on production performance, issues, and improvement initiatives.

* Document and communicate best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

* Team Collaboration and Training:

* Work closely with production staff, engineers, and other departments to achieve production goals.

* Provide training and support to production staff on new processes, equipment, and safety procedures.

* Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in production engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.

* 1-3 years' Proven experience in production engineering or a similar role within a high tech. manufacturing environment.

* Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and quality control practices.

* Proficiency in data analysis, process improvement methodologies, and production management.

* Familiarity with manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, MES, SPC).

* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

Skills:

* Certification in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or project management.

* Experience in Solar cell manufacturing is a plus.

* Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and automation.

* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the production sector.

* Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is a plus.

* Ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends.

* Willingness to continuously learn and update skills.

Working Conditions:

* Standard office environment with frequent visits to the manufacturing floor.

* May require occasional travel to other facilities or vendor locations.

* May involve working with machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
