Electrical Assembler

Overview

Electrical Assembler:
This position requires the ability to read electrical diagrams and assemble complete machine electrical control boxes using common hand tools. Must understand detailed electrical wiring diagrams and basic Power Switch Circuits and Relay Switch Circuits. The candidate must troubleshoot electrical assemblies and all electrical wiring on the machine, gain understanding of machine operation and controls, and manually control machine functions to check the functionality of related electrical assemblies.

Must understand hand tools including multimeter, wire stripping and crimping procedures.

• Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies following detailed assembly drawings, bill of materials, and other written and verbal specifications.
• Clean and maintain work area according to 5S program every day.
• Utilize pneumatic and hand tools to assist with building product.
• Take responsibility for the quality of the product produced in the work area.
• Perform final assembly and testing of product against required specifications.
• Keep supervisor apprised of issues related to daily performance.
• Maintain discipline and a safe working environment.

• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics/diagrams.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.
• Willing to be cross-trained in all areas of production.
• Punctual, responsible, and reliable.
• Ability to lift 25-30 lbs., up to 65 lbs. on an occasional basis.

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Electrical Assembly: 1 year;
  Mechanical and/or Electrical: 1 year.
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Monday-Thursday (possible Friday's) 6am-4:30pm.
• Salary: $17.00/hour.
