Fabrication and Trailer Assembly Supervisor
FNA Group is a global leader in consumer and industrial pressure washers and outdoor power equipment. This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead our Fabrication and Trailer Assembly teams and drive production excellence in a rapidly growing environment.
Primary PurposeOversee and support Fabrication & Trailer Assembly component processing to meet daily production goals. Supervise Fabricators, Welders, and Trailer Assemblers.
Duties / Responsibilities- Promote safe work practices and address safety concerns promptly, following company policy.
- Maintain high quality production outputs by monitoring processes, verifying specifications, and performing periodic quality checks.
- Maintain tool inventory and ensure appropriate tools are used.
- Coordinate with other departmental supervisors to minimize changeover impacts and prepare for upcoming units.
- Support problem‑solving and root‑cause initiatives by communicating openly and collaborating with team members.
- Monitor, review, and report production results to onsite management.
- Analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records to determine production requirements and evaluate estimates.
- Foster a positive work environment.
- Interview potential new hire candidates.
- Provide onboarding support, assign positions, and ensure employees are cross‑trained for maximum flexibility.
- Identify and document areas for improvement to boost quality and efficiency.
- Provide leadership guidance and support.
- Evaluate performance and provide feedback to direct reports and management.
- Perform other duties as required for coverage, cross‑training, and professional development.
- Bi‑lingual Spanish required.
- Proficient knowledge of precision measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Team leadership skills with the ability to relate to diverse groups.
- Decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven ability to implement process‑improvement initiatives.
- Ability to complete projects within tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism.
- 2 years supervisory experience or 5 years lead experience, or an equivalent combination of leadership experience.
- 3+ years fabrication experience; press brake and laser experience preferred.
- 3 years of experience in production operations/processes (Process Improvement, LEAN, 5S, etc.).
- Experience or familiarity with powder‑coating equipment (guns, booth, washer, dry oven, cure oven) is a plus.
Manages teams of up to 50 individuals:
Fabricators, Welders, Trailer Assemblers.
Work occurs in a typical manufacturing/assembly warehouse environment. Moderate walking and standing, exposure to heat, cold, dampness, humidity, slippery and uneven surfaces. Must follow all company safety policies and regulations.
Work HoursTypical schedule is 6:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Thursday, with occasional overtime as required to complete production activities.
