Overview
Revolution is hiring a Resin Handling Specialist in Mesquite, Texas. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, transfer, blending, and distribution of polyethylene (PE) resin throughout the manufacturing process using a centralized silo and conveying system. You will help ensure accurate resin formulations, maintain material traceability, monitor material flow, and provide high-quality blended materials that keep production running smoothly.

- Operate and monitor resin receiving, storage silos, vacuum conveying systems, and blending equipment, including day bins.
- Prepare resin blends according to production work orders and material formulations.
- Verify resin grades, lot numbers, additives, and color concentrates before mixing/pumping.
- Load additives, regrind, masterbatch, and other approved materials into blending systems according to specifications.
- Monitor silo inventory levels and coordinate material replenishment with Quality.
- Transfer resin from railcars, bulk trucks, gaylords, supersacks, or bags into designated silos.
- Maintain proper material identification and traceability throughout the production process with at least weekly counts.
- Perform quality checks on blended materials to ensure consistency and compliance with production requirements with the help of Quality.
- Troubleshoot material flow issues, including bridging, conveying blockages, and equipment alarms, and share with Ops and Maintenance for resolution.
- Clean mixers, hoppers, filters, loaders, and conveying equipment to prevent contamination.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on resin-handling equipment with assistance from Maintenance as needed.
- Record production data, material usage, inventory transactions, and equipment inspections as required.
- Follow “First in, first out” (FIFO) inventory practices when applicable.
- Communicate material shortages, equipment issues, and quality concerns to supervisors.
- Assist with inventory counts and material reconciliation when required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Follow all OSHA, plant safety, and environmental regulations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Manufacturing or plastics industry experience preferred.
- Experience with polyethylene (PE) resin handling preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Essential reading and writing skills are required.
- Basic ability to do math.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
