Location:Dallas Regional Medical Center– Mesquite, TX
We are seeking aSurgical RN,a registered nurse who will work in our Ambulatory Surgery department.
As aSurgical Nurse,you willspecializethe care of patients undergoing surgical procedures in a surgery department.
Theirresponsibilitieswill be forintraoperative careof the surgical procedure.
- Conduct pre-procedure assessments to evaluate patients' medical histories, current conditions, and any potential risks associated with the procedure
- Transfer and position the patient on the operating table, ensuring safety and comfort of the patient
- During the procedure,assistthe healthcare provider by preparing the patient, organizing supplies and equipment, and providing support as needed, they may alsopreparelocal anesthesia or medications as directed by the provider
- Maintain knowledgeable of each phase of the peri-operative process and perform safe patient care throughout the entire peri-op patient experience
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
Additional Qualifications That Area Plus:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
