Position Summary
We are seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at our Mesquite, Texas urgent care clinic, located at 1280 N Town East Blvd, Mesquite, TX 75150
.

You’ll be supported by experienced clinical teams, strong peer relationships, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership who provide real-time guidance and mentorship. The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low-acuity presentations that allow clinicians to maintain a wide range of skills without the ongoing follow-up demands of an inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
- Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
- Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, splinting, and wound management
- Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
- Code and bill services appropriately
- Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
- Practice in alignment with Next Care clinical standards and values
- Active, unrestricted Texas Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Current board certification:
- NP: ANCC or AANP certification; FNP required
- PA: NCCPA certification
- Active DEA license or ability to obtain
- Ability to evaluate and treat patients of all ages
- Active BLS certification
- EHR proficiency
- Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays
- DOT certification or willingness to obtain; applicable fees covered
- Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or fast-track experience
- Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, wound care, and I&D
- Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
- Experience practicing independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
