Emergency Veterinarian – Mesquite, TX
A veterinary hospital is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join its dynamic and collaborative team. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical, life‑saving care in a fast‑paced environment supported by advanced technology and experienced clinical staff. This position is ideal for veterinarians who thrive under pressure, enjoy emergency medicine, and are passionate about delivering high‑quality care to critically ill and injured patients.
Responsibilities- Provide emergency medical care to critically ill or injured animals
- Perform rapid assessments, diagnostics, and life‑saving interventions
- Develop and implement treatment plans for emergency cases
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools such as digital radiography, ultrasound, CT, and in‑house laboratory equipment
- Perform emergency procedures and stabilize patients as needed
- Collaborate with veterinary specialists and support staff for comprehensive care
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners during high‑stress situations
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution
- Active or eligible veterinary license
- Experience or interest in urgent care or emergency medicine
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong clinical decision‑making and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
