Our ASSA ABLOY South Central Service Center is adding an Estimator to the Team. This role will be located on-site at our manufacturing facility located in Mesquite, Texas.

We are expanding and there has never been a more exciting time to join our Team!

You would act as the liaison between us and our customers. You Will review technical drawings and blueprints, prepare estimates and quotes utilizing existing pricing information as it relates to doors, frames, hardware preparations, shipping, any production or project problems, as well as assist with field inspections.

You would also:
  • Prepare quotes and estimates while considering product capabilities and limitations.
  • Verify technical drawings and blueprints for accuracy, manufacturability, specification requirements and coordination of hardware.
  • Communicate with customers on the status of the project, discrepancies, project delays, etc.
  • Interpret templates, review quotes for elevations and input into the system for quoting.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required.
  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees
  • Compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
The Skills and Experience you need:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year estimating experience, preferably in the hollow metal door openings industry, direct customer and contractor contact desired.
  • General understanding of the construction industry, exposure to the commercial construction industry would be a plus.
  • Exposure to building codes and labeling requirements would be a plus.
  • Previous exposure to reading blueprints, shop drawings or engineering drawings desired.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, follow-up and a high comfort level balancing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, as well as exposure to an Order Management platform or an ERP system desired.
