You’ll be joining a cohort of talented students from a variety of schools across the U.S. We hire interns in the following positions:
Process Engineering, R&D, Strategic Sourcing, Technical Sales, Supply Chain, Product Marketing, Information Technology, and more.

The projects we task our interns to lead are impactful and meaningful to our organization. You’ll be supported by your Manager and Mentor to gain in-depth knowledge of the adhesive industry and collaborate with various departments and functions. Position Overview:

The Quality & Continuous Improvement Intern will support the Quality and Operations teams in identifying and reducing manufacturing waste, rework, and batch failures. This position will work closely with manufacturing personnel to collect and analyze process data, identify root causes, support corrective actions, and monitor the effectiveness of improvement activities.

The intern will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while supporting continuous improvement and Food Safety/Quality initiatives. The position will report to the Quality Manager and will work cross-functionally with Operations and other plant personnel.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support projects focused on reducing manufacturing waste, rework, and material losses.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data related to waste, rework, batch failures, and process performance.
  • Identify trends and recurring issues by product, process step, shift, and other relevant factors.
  • Support root-cause investigations using tools such as 5 Why, Pareto analysis, and fishbone diagrams.
  • Work with Operations and Quality personnel to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Follow up on improvement actions and track their effectiveness.
  • Assist with documenting processes, findings, action plans, and results.
  • Conduct observations on the manufacturing floor and communicate findings to the appropriate team members.
  • Support Quality and Food Safety initiatives assigned.
  • Prepare summaries and presentations of project findings and improvement results.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in quality, Engineering, Food Science, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field.
