Location: AFH- MESQUITE STORE, 1330 N Town East Blvd, STE 300, Mesquite, TX 75150, USA

Ashley, the #1 Mattress and Furniture retailer in North America, has an immediate opening for a Visual Merchandising Associate.

• Ensure that all merchandise is on the sales floor and displayed according to the merchandising plan developed by corporate.
• Manage and train operational duties: accessory receiving, informational POP tagging and promotional POP execution, placement of price tags and spot light placement.
• Price merchandise correctly and update prices in a timely manner.
• Maintain store floor plan to match the AutoCAD produced by corporate.
• Partner with Category Business Managers on transferring/flooring orphan product.
• Audit IOWN form and input data.
• Use color coordination, visual balance and interior design to develop attractive displays.
• Collaborate with RVPM on all creative elements within the store environment including painting and interior design.
• Ensure floor merchandise condition is maintained/repaired to showroom quality.
• Re-order and replace any non-clearance floor merchandise sold from the floor.
• Organize store warehouse according to plan and keep clear of clutter.
• Assist in cleaning of front entrance, restrooms, and backrooms.
• Maintain clear communication channels within the organization.
• Hire, develop and manage Floor Support.
• Participate in Inventory Audit twice a year.
• Undertake and complete other work‑related responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
• Monitor consistency and execution of visual presentation directives, signage and merchandising standards.
• Reinforce visual presentation standards through ongoing communication.
• Participate in monthly design challenge.
• Maintain satisfactory driving record.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in retail home furnishings or interior design.
• Project management skills.
• Ethical conduct, time management, attendance and punctuality.
• Basic computer skills with MS Office.
• Strong verbal and communication skills.
